Ricco's New Album Released Titled "I GET WHAT I
DESERVE"
On December 14th, 2006, Ricco took the world by storm again, with the much anticipated
release of his third solo album. The album, entitled, I Get What I Deserve, features a more versatile
side of Ricco than shown on his other cd's. With songs ranging from gangsta rap, to R&B, you truly can see Ricco's
talent. His album is riddled with tracks featuring many up and coming artists including, Dan, Juanita, Tragic, H.B. (Larry
Holmes Nephew), Sade, Napo, Stacy, and a freestyle acapella by Suave.
Along with being his third solo album, Ricco was also the Executive Producer on this cd.
Many of the beats featured on this cd were performed on and also produced by Ricco himself. Cheddar Records also Co-Produced
this album.
Ricco can not take all of the credit himself though, other producers include Duane,
Mark and John. Duane produced a few tracks on Ricco's last album 200 Proof With No Chaser. His productions include "Gimme the Money Bitch", "You Ain't Good" and "Save Me" which he was also featured
on. The song "Save Me" produced a lot of hype for Ricco, because it was a hard rock beat. Something few rappers are able to
do successfully. Because of the hype from the last album, Ricco made the decision on this album to again work and produce
beats with Duane. Duane produced the beat for track 13 on I Get What I Deserve,
entitled "I Got The Feeling". Throughout this track, Ricco discusses how in
this industry he can feel the haters and how others often do not desire success for one another.
The next producer was not as experienced with Ricco. Ricco had never worked with Mark
before. He is the cousin of the owner of Cheddar Records. Mark produced the beat for Track 19 on this CD entitled "The
Best". This song is one of the songs made for the gangstas. It has a gangsta beat combined with the lyrical viciousness that
can be Ricco's signature on a track.
Another new producer on this album was John. For the most part John often makes Electronica
music. Ricco thought that this would be an excellent collaboration because it would create a new sound to his and John's music.
The track is track 20 entitled "Shoot a Porno". This song is made for the ladies. It takes place in a club and throughout
the song Ricco's uses his words to seduce and intrigue the ladies. It is a guaranteed club banger that will not only make
you dance, but if your a lady it may make you a little excited.
The Cd, I Get What I Deserve, Has 20 brand new tracks,
and three bonus tracks. The three bonus tracks on this cd are from Ricco's first solo album, Collage. The
tracks, "Forgive Me", "Fire" and "What's My Name", show that although they were made a while ago, you can see even on his
first solo record that the raw talent is undeniable. You see the many sides of Ricco through out this cd. In tracks like,
"The Best", "Get Em Boy", "I Get What I Deserve" "Pt 2 and Pt 1",and "Hot", show off the street educated Ricco.
Through out these songs Ricco discusses the raw reality of the streets, his mindset and how he sees things in a
way that many can relate too.
One of the most amazing things about Ricco's album is their are so many different
sides to Ricco. On this cd you can clearly see his mack game is off the chain with tracks like, "Let's Ride", "Shoot a Porno",
and "Get Rid of Him".
In tracks like "The Best", "Hot", "I Get What I Deserve Pt. 2 &
1" and "Get Em Boy", You see Ricco's gangsta hustlin side. His past as a hustler has given him the ability to write raw,
real, street music with his classic touch.
The track "Forgive Me" is very special to Ricco. As a Christian
man, Ricco felt that it was important to write a song solely to God.
The entire cd is 100% about Ricco. You see that Ricco is not only
a street educated former Thug, but that he is an intellectual, buisness savvy, creative, passionate individual. Ricco is by
all senses of the word a Thoroughbred nigga, and a King. Soon not only you, but the world will see, that Ricco, Will Get What
He Deserves!
